Project Description

Employee Engagement Survey Dashboard for Pierce County, Washington, dataset using Power BI to convert more than 14,000 survey responses sourced from Maven Analytics Data Playground—into a structured, interactive, and decision-oriented reporting tool.

Data Preparation

A single Excel table with ~15,000 rows required thorough cleaning to address:

  1. Removal of duplicate rows

  2. Handling of missing assessments

  3. Elimination of duplicated questions

  4. Adding “Other Role” category for missing role data (~72% of records)

  5. Creating relevant DAX measure for calculation

Key Features of the Dashboard

  1. Department- and role-level analysis enabled through dynamic slicers.

  2. Bookmarks and action buttons for intuitive and seamless navigation between analytical views.

  3. Clear, comparative visuals showing response distributions from Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree.

Key Findings from the Analysis

  1. Most Agreed Statement: “I know what is expected of me at work” (Average Score: 3.5/4)

  2. Least Agreed Statement: “I have a best friend at work” (Average Score: 2.6/4)

  3. Managers and Supervisors reported higher levels of agreement regarding recognition and growth opportunities.

  4. Staff feedback highlighted opportunities to strengthen workplace relationships and enhance learning and development initiatives.
